Chris and a team of exceptional developers, started building a cloud-based benchmarking platform based on the foundation of TCA's Best Practice Groups in 2014. This platform formally launched in September 2015 as TCA inGauge. Chris serves as the Program Manager for inGauge, and a Group Facilitator within TCA’s Best Practice Groups – both keys components of the TCA Profitability Program.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Nipissing University, and a MBA from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. Prior to developing TCA inGauge, he was a partner in a Transportation industry insurance company, which also provided offshore captive management programs. In this role, Chris lead both the Sales and IT teams, and used this combination to help grow the company's market share from 5% to 55% in the span of nine years.
Jack started his Truck Dealer Career in 1977 with Mack Trucks, and finally ended up being one of the Founders of Valley Freightliner in Washington. In 2002 he left Valley Freightliner to be a Founding Partner of Decisiv, Inc. and started his Consulting/Business Fertilization Career. In January 2014 he started GPorter Group, a Business Fertilizer Firm dedicated to the Transportation Business.
Jack developed the TCA Benchmarking Program in 2003 while with Decisiv. He has moderated multiple Trucking and Truck Dealership Groups over the past 15 years. Jack became Managing Director of the Truckload Profitability Program (TPP) in July of 2017. His duties remain moderating Groups, setting TPP Strategy, and Growing the Program inside the TCA.
Jack loves having Clients that are Friends, travel on Airplanes, and staying in Hotels.
Prior to joining The Tenney Group in 2002, Spencer worked as a consultant in the medical staffing industry and owned a music publishing company. He earned his degree in Communication from the University of Texas in Austin, and currently holds the designation of Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) through the International Business Brokers Association. He is also the only Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor in North America that is dedicated exclusively to the transportation industry.
Spencer has helped Tenney Group close more than 50 transportation business sales across the United States. Considered an industry expert, his articles have been published in Transport Topics, National Bus Trader, Limousine Charter & Tour and other magazines. He is a sought-after speaker at national trade shows. He is also the author of the e-book "5 Keys to Maximizing Your Transportation Business Sale," available for download here.
On a personal note, Spencer and his wife Lauren reside outside of Nashville in Franklin, Tennessee. He enjoys songwriting and is actively involved in the Hope Clinic, a faith-based organization that equips women, men, and families to make healthy choices regarding unplanned pregnancies, depression, & addictions.
